Size models and magnetic door solutions
MDV is manufactured so that it can be installed in pipes at an angle. It can also be installed behind a conveyor return drum so that the separated material falls onto the door, where metal impurities remain trapped.
MDV standard models, sizes:
At this time, we do not have a complete range of sizes – the separator is always manufactured according to customer requirements, even in large sizes (500×500 mm, 800×500 mm).
Main advantages of the MDV separator:
- Separation of poorly permeable materials with a tendency to clog.
- Separation of abrasive materials.
- Equipped with very strong neodymium magnets.
- Can also be installed where MSP-type separators cannot be used due to the large amount of separated material.
- Allows the separation of larger ferromagnetic impurities (screws, nails, etc.).
- Emphasis on high work safety – magnets are firmly attached to the body of the magnetic separator
- Magnets are covered with stainless steel sheet – magnets are not in direct contact with the separated material
- The doors are fitted with a "nose" that protects the captured metals from being pulled back into the separated material.
- High level of engineering workmanship – the best materials used, high precision machining, resistance, durability, assembly readiness.
- User-friendly cleaning system – see below in a separate point.
Basic technical specifications of MDV
Magnetic equipment
- Very strong NdFeB magnets (ferrite magnets are not used due to their high weight)
Heat resistance of magnetic material
- Standard: up to 80˚C
- Optional: up to 150˚C
Magnetic performance
- Neodymium NdFeB magnets: 6000–7000 G
Cleaning the separator
- The separator is cleaned when the material flow is stopped.
- This type of separator is equipped with a linear guide designed to allow easy and safe removal of the magnetic doors, even when they are large. After the doors are removed, the magnets are then removed from the stainless steel cover in the next step. This demagnetizes the magnetic doors and all captured metals fall off. This eliminates the need for manual removal of metal contaminants and prevents injury to the operator's hands (e.g., by getting fingers caught between the magnetic door and metal contaminants).
Material
- Standard: stainless steel 1.4301 / AISI 304.
- Optional: stainless steel 1.4404 / AISI 316L (for acidic pH)
