Plate-type magnetic separators are used both to protect technological equipment (ferrite core design) and to check and secure the final product (neodymium core design).
High magnetic performance combined with perfect workmanship and a cleaning system meet the needs of the most demanding customers in various industries where high demands are placed on the protection of technological equipment and the purity of the final product.
The magnetic separator is controlled by FESTO pneumatic components. The SIEMENS control system, which is included in the delivery, can be used in most industrial operations. The separated material is poured into the central part, where an adjustable spreading roof evenly directs the flow of material onto the magnetic plates. During the automatic cleaning process, the plates are moved to the side parts of the separator, where they are demagnetized and the collected impurities automatically fall into the side hoppers. Thanks to the unique design of the magnetic cores, the MSP series achieves excellent magnetic properties across the entire material flow.
Advantages of the MSP FAC magnetic separator with automatic cleaning system
- Automation of the cleaning process increases work productivity, requires no operator intervention, and thus helps eliminate any neglect of cleaning intervals caused by human factors. Another significant advantage is high work safety.
- Use in operations with a high occurrence of ferromagnetic impurities
- Adjustable cleaning interval according to the amount of impurities captured
- Possibility of connection to a central control system (standard potential-free contacts, optional PROFINET or PROFIBUS)
- Deep magnetic field, high pull-off force and magnetic induction
- Can also be used for poorly flowing materials and abrasive bulk materials – lined with abrasion-resistant polyurethane – compliant with food industry standards
- For positions where the highest separation quality is required or where there is a higher occurrence of very fine ferromagnetic impurities, a plate separator with 7 magnetic circuits has been developed
- Complies with standards for use in the food industry, e.g. EN 1935/2004
- Made of 1.4301 stainless steel, control elements from renowned manufacturers FESTO, Siemens, and Rittal
- Ready for DN 150/200/250/300 piping systems. The connection can be adapted using adapters
- Resistance, durability, ready for installation. Commissioning and staff training are optionally included in the delivery
- On-site service support or remote management via GSM module
- Certificate of magnetic properties – measured using calibrated instruments and trained personnel Regular annual inspection and control measurements by the MAGSY service department directly at your premises
Areas of application for plate magnetic separators in operation
Separation for the protection of production technologies
When used to protect production equipment, the MSP FAC separator is equipped with a ferrite magnetic core with a deep effective magnetic field, which is capable of capturing coarser ferromagnetic impurities and thus protecting downstream production equipment. This significantly contributes to savings in maintenance and service costs.
Separation for product purity
When used in a position that ensures product safety and final quality, the fully automated MSP FAC separator is equipped with a neodymium magnetic core that achieves peak values of magnetic induction and breakaway force. For positions where the highest separation quality is required or where a higher occurrence of very fine ferromagnetic impurities is expected, a plate separator with 7 magnetic circuits has been developed.
Size models
The MSP FAC product range is standardly offered in sizes for pipe systems with diameters of 150/200/250/300. For other sizes or smaller diameters, installation using adapters is possible.
Connection requirements
- Electrical – 230/16 A
- Pneumatic – compressed air – 6 bar continuously
