Magnetic separator with automatic cleaning is designed to separate magnetic metal contaminants. We typically offer three models with inlet dimensions of 250 x 250, 400 x 400 and 500 x 500 mm and a capacity of up to 150 t/h.
The automatic cleaning principle is that the material is fed through the central section of the magnetic separator and, at each preset interval, the captured metal contaminants are conveyed to the left or right discharge chute (see the animation below). A major advantage is that the material flow does not need to be interrupted during cleaning.

This magnetic separator is designed to separate magnetic metal contaminants. It is equipped with very powerful neodymium magnets. Thanks to its unique tube-cleaning method, it can also separate metal contaminants larger than 5 mm, which could damage the double-sided separator described above. Another significant advantage is the reduced space requirement.
For this type of separator, the automatic cleaning principle is that the material is fed through the side section of the magnetic separator and, at each preset interval, the captured metal contaminants are conveyed to the opposite side toward the discharge chute. The magnetic tubes are cleaned by moving the stainless-steel tubes, and the metal contaminants are conveyed to the side discharge chute.
In the single-sided separator, cleaning is performed by moving the stainless-steel tubes, which conveys the metal contaminants to the side discharge chute.

The magnetic separators are controlled by FESTO pneumatic components, and the cleaning process is controlled by a SIEMENS electronic system. They can be integrated into the control system of the entire production facility.
The MSV PO magnetic separator is suitable for the automatic separation of magnetic metal contaminants from dry mixtures where high material throughput and regular cleaning without unnecessary interruption of the material flow are required.
When selecting a separator, it is important to consider the type of mixture, required capacity, inlet size, amount of contaminants to be captured, size of the metal particles, available installation space, and the required integration with the facility's control system.
We will help you select the appropriate double-sided or single-sided configuration based on capacity, the size of the metal contaminants, available space and the method of integration into your production line.
