Liquid mixtures with automatic cleaning

Magnetic separators

A magnetic separator is a device that is widely used in industries today to separate magnetic particles from materials of various types. Its basic principle is that the material to be separated is passed around strong magnets which attract the magnetic particles in the material; these are separated and remain attached to the strong magnet.

Division of magnetic separators

Dry mixes with manual cleaning

Magnetic dry mix separators with manual cleaning are ideal for separating metallic impurities in powdered or bulk materials. Cleaning is done by opening the separator and manually removing the magnetic particles with non-magnetic tools such as a rubber scraper. This procedure is simple, time-saving and ensures long-term separation efficiency.

Liquid mixtures with manual cleaning

Separators for liquid mixtures with manual cleaning are used where metal particles need to be separated from liquid materials. Cleaning consists of manually removing metal contaminants from the magnet surface after opening or disassembling the magnet. The process is simple and efficient, allowing reliable operation of the separator while maintaining high separation efficiency.

Dry mixes with automatic cleaning

Magnetic separators for dry mixtures with automatic cleaning are suitable for continuous operation without the need for operator intervention. Cleaning is carried out automatically by a mechanical system that ensures the removal of trapped metal particles. This saves time and minimises operational interruptions, thereby increasing the overall efficiency of the production process.

Liquid mixtures with automatic cleaning

Automatic cleaning liquid mix separators provide a solution for the continuous separation of metallic impurities from liquid mixtures without the need for manual intervention. The cleaning mechanism operates automatically and ensures regular removal of trapped particles, resulting in higher productivity and lower maintenance costs.

Why use magnetic separators?

1
Protection of production facilities: The magnetic separator protects the machines from damage by metal particles and reduces maintenance costs.
2
Increased product quality: It removes impurities from the material, which increases the quality and purity of the final product.
3
Health and Safety: In food and pharmaceutical production, it eliminates the risk of metal particles endangering the health of customers.
4
Cost savings: By removing metals, it reduces production costs, claims and reduces the need for frequent knife sharpening in engineering.

Czech manufacturer of magnetic separators

Magnetic separators for reliable removal of metal impurities

MAGSY magnetic separators capture ferromagnetic particles in dry and liquid materials. They protect production technologies from damage, increase the purity of the resulting product and help reduce downtime, service costs and the risk of complaints.

We produce solutions with manual and automatic cleaning for pipes, hoppers, conveyors and separate technological units. The appropriate type always depends on the material, required capacity, size of impurities and conditions of the specific operation.

How magnetic separation works

The material being processed passes through an effective magnetic field. Ferromagnetic impurities, such as iron filings, shavings, wires or abrasion from production equipment, are attracted to the magnetic core and separated from the product. After cleaning the separator, the captured metals are safely removed outside the production flow.

Choosing a flow solution

How to choose the right magnetic separator

The right choice is not based solely on the strength of the magnet. It is important to assess the entire production process and determine where the separation will be most effective and safe for the operator.

Ferrite and neodymium magnetic systems

Ferrite magnets are a durable and cost-effective solution for capturing common ferromagnetic particles. Neodymium magnets They provide a significantly stronger magnetic field and are used where fine metal impurities also need to be captured. The choice of magnetic material is also influenced by temperature, cleaning method and separator design.

Frequently asked questions about magnetic separators

What is a magnetic separator and how does it work?

A magnetic separator removes ferromagnetic impurities from the material using a magnetic field. Metal particles are captured on the magnetic core or shell of the separator and the cleaned material continues through the production process.

Which magnetic separator should I choose for a dry mixture?

For bulk materials, magnetic grids, rods, plates, drums or separators above the conveyor are mainly chosen. The grain size and flowability of the material, the required performance, the method of transport and the amount of metal impurities are decisive.

How are metals separated from liquid mixtures?

For liquids, oils and emulsions, flow-through magnetic separators or separation vessels are used. The device is designed according to the flow rate, pressure, temperature, viscosity and method of connection to the pipeline.

When to choose manual and when automatic cleaning?

Manual cleaning is suitable for smaller operations or lower amounts of captured metals. Automatic cleaning is used in continuous production, with higher contamination and where it is important to limit downtime and operator work.

What is the difference between ferrite and neodymium magnets?

Ferrite magnets are durable and economical for capturing larger ferromagnetic particles. Neodymium magnets create a stronger magnetic field and are also used to capture fine metal impurities. The appropriate option depends on the material and operating conditions.

How often does a magnetic separator need to be cleaned?

The cleaning interval depends on the amount of impurities and the material flow. It is advisable to clean the separator before the layer of trapped metal begins to reduce the effectiveness of the magnetic field. The specific interval is determined based on experience from the given operation.

Can a magnetic separator be custom-made?

Yes. The design, dimensions, material, connection method and cleaning can be adapted to the production line, the type of material processed and the hygienic or temperature requirements of the operation.

What information is needed to design a separator?

For a correct design, it is necessary to know the type and properties of the material, hourly capacity, size of the pipe or conveyor, temperature, pressure, available space, amount of dirt and the required cleaning method.

Do you need to design a magnetic separator?

Send us the parameters of the material and production line. We will recommend a suitable type and prepare a non-binding offer.
