This separator is designed primarily to separate larger ferromagnetic contaminants from free-flowing mixtures transported on a conveyor belt. It is usually installed transversely above the conveyor belt at a 90° angle, or above the discharge pulley (see drawings). The captured magnetic contaminants are carried to the side by a belt rotating around the magnet.
When designing the separator we drew on our many years of experience in manufacturing magnetic separators. We focused primarily on high separation efficiency (magnetic field strength and reach), the separator’s durability even under the most demanding conditions, and its reliability.
This separator is manufactured using state-of-the-art CNC machines and incorporates components from leading global manufacturers. These include SKF bearings, a Nord drive, and a universal worm gearbox; a Nord frequency inverter can be fitted on request. Overall, the separator is designed to be durable even under demanding conditions (e.g. high dust levels). All bearings are fully enclosed.
An economical version of the separator described above. In this separator, the captured contaminants are also carried to the side by a belt rotating around the magnet.
This EKO version of the separator is equipped with a Nord drive. Standard bearings are used. The separator body is also not as fully enclosed as on the MS F model. We manufacture both separator types in various sizes so that they can be installed above conveyor belts of different widths.
This conveyor breaks up material accumulated on the conveyor and spreads it into an even layer across the full width of the belt. The material can then be separated more easily and effectively, especially when using an eddy current separator, magnetic plate, magnetic drum, or magnetic roller. The vibratory conveyor is suitable for dry bulk materials. It is not suitable for fine or sticky materials. The high-sided conveyor trough prevents material from spilling off the conveyor belt.

When separating metals from a thicker layer of material on a conveyor belt, for maximum separation efficiency we recommend combining an overband separator or magnetic plate (1) with a magnetic roller (2), which separates metals from the lower part of the material layer.
Tip: Combining an overband magnet with a magnetic roller increases separation efficiency when processing a thicker material layer.
A self-cleaning overband magnetic separator is used to automatically capture ferromagnetic contaminants from conveyed material. It is most commonly installed in recycling lines, quarries, sand pits, the woodworking industry, fuel production, the energy sector, and waste management.
The separator protects downstream equipment from damage caused by metal particles while also improving the quality of the final product.
When selecting a suitable overband magnetic separator, it is important to know the conveyor belt width, material layer height, conveying capacity, material particle size, required separation efficiency, and operating conditions.
Based on these parameters, we will design the optimal separator size, type of magnetic system, installation method, and any optional equipment, such as belt speed monitoring or belt misalignment monitoring.
