The MDV is manufactured so that it can be installed in a pipeline at an angle. It can also be installed behind the return drum of a conveyor so that the material being separated falls onto the door, where the metal contaminants remain trapped.
At present, we do not offer a standardized size range – the separator is always manufactured according to the customer's requirements, including large sizes (500×500 mm, 800×500 mm).
The separator is cleaned while the material flow is stopped.
This type of separator is equipped with a linear guide system designed to allow the magnetic door to be slid out easily and safely, even in large sizes. Once the door has been slid out, the magnets are then withdrawn from the protective stainless steel housing. This demagnetizes the magnetic door and all captured metals fall away. This eliminates manual removal of metal contaminants and prevents injuries to the operator's hands (e.g. fingers being trapped between the magnetic door and a metal contaminant).
The MDV magnetic door is suitable for separating magnetic metal contaminants from poorly flowing materials prone to bridging, abrasive materials, and applications involving larger volumes of material, where MSP-type separators cannot be used.
When selecting a magnetic door, it is important to consider the type of material, its flowability, tendency to bridge, abrasiveness, the volume of material being processed, the required dimensions of the magnetic door, the temperature resistance of the magnets, and whether it will be installed in a pipeline or behind the conveyor return drum.
