The magnetic separation tank can significantly extend the service life of the separated medium (water, oil, emulsion, etc.) and also improve the quality of subsequent manufacturing processes (e.g. reduce the cost of grinding machining tools).
The magnetic separation tank is often recommended as a secondary separation stage for automatic flow-through separators.
The magnetic separation tank is suitable for most operations where large quantities of magnetic metal contaminants need to be separated from liquids. It is often used where an automatic flow-through separator cannot be employed due to the large quantity of contaminants to be separated. Like this type of separator, it is an automatic magnetic separator, which means no human operation is required, resulting in lower personnel costs and higher separation quality.
When the separator is installed to protect production equipment, it is usually fitted with ferrite magnets. A magnetic separator equipped in this way is primarily capable of separating larger metal contaminants, thereby reducing the risk of damage to downstream production equipment. Very strong neodymium magnets can also be used for this application. The appropriate solution always depends on the specific situation.
The objective of magnetic separation must always be taken into account. The separator can be equipped with either ferrite magnets or very strong neodymium magnets. The separation tank is suitable not only for installation at the end of the manufacturing process as the final separation stage, but also at earlier production stages, so that the maximum possible quantity of ferromagnetic contaminants is gradually captured at different stages of production.
The magnetic separation tank always contains a magnetic roller (fitted with weaker ferrite magnets or very strong neodymium magnets). Metal contaminants are captured on this roller and scraped from the rotating roller into a waste container.
The magnetic separation tank is suitable for operations where large quantities of magnetic metal contaminants must be automatically separated from liquid media such as water, oil or emulsions.
